Children’s Miracle Network Party!

Children’s Miracle Network Party!

Yesterday, on December 18, 2011, Kelby, Allison, Samantha, and I had the opportunity to attend the annual holiday party held for the Children’s Miracle Network Kids. The party was held at the Magic House, a children’s museum located in St. Louis. During our time at the party, we got to do several exciting things. First, we met the two new “Ambassador Families” of the St. Louis Children’s Miracle Network. Both of the families, and the children of the families, Megan and Camryn, were so kind, benevolent, and compassionate. It was a pleasure to meet and spend time with them. We also got to explore the Magic House and play with the kids. We even got to visit the “Oval Office” and the static ball- when you put our hand on it, your hair stood up! It was a lot of fun and a great experience! All of the kids were such troopers; they were an inspiration to all of us. It was a privilege to be able to spend time with them!

Appearance at Shepard’s Hill Center with Ms. Gina!

Hi Everybody!

This past week, on Friday, November 4, 2011, I got to go to the Shepard Hill’s Center in St. Charles with Ms. Gina. She gave  presentation on the history of the Miss America pageant, it was really informational and I learned a lot from it! She did an excellent job!! While I was there, I got to play my piano piece for the audience. It was really exciting and I enjoyed playing for them! Then, Ms. Gina and I got to answer questions and talk to the audience. They all were very kind, friendly, and had a great sense of humor! It was a lot of fun and we had a good time talking to them.

Thank you so much Ms. Gina for this opportunity! I had a really great time and your presentation was fantastic! I look forward to seeing you again soon.
Until next time,

Tess

And Your 2012 Miss Gateway St. Louis Outstanding Teen is….

October 15, 2011 is a day that I’ll never forget. We started the day with interviews. Then, us contestants got to spend time together at the fun, upbeat rehearsals. We all came back that night and put on a great show, all thanks to Mr. Gary Bogener, Ms. Mallory, and Desmet High School. At the end of the night, I was crowned Miss Gateway St. Louis’s Outstanding Teen. I was ecstatic! Being crowned by Charlee Bicsh, Miss Gateway St. Louis 2010, and also one of my good friends, was the icing on the cake. All of my hard work had paid off, and I feel so blessed to have been given this great opportunity. I’m looking forward to a great year with a fantastic board of directors and amazing sister queens!

Thank you so much Mr. Gary Bogener, Ms. Mallory, Ms. Gina, and Mr. Hey for all of the hard work you have put into this pageant; I’m looking forward to spending the year with you! Congratulations to Allison, Kelby, and Samantha! You all are so talented and beautiful.. I’m lucky to have such great sister queens! I look forward to getting to spend time with all of you this year!

Love,

Tess
